The FUZE Centre offers a welcoming, friendly and relaxed environment to learn the fundamentals of coding guided by expert tutors and fun, engaging projects.

Join like-minded individuals with similar interests and build projects together, build social confidence and make new friends, harness your fascination with video games and develop your ability in this increasingly important field.

We also have a variety of retro and modern games to play and enjoy, approaching them inquisitively and mechanically – gaining inspiration and changing the way your child engages with video games as a whole.

All learning is done using FUZE4 Nintendo Switch – an application we created which teaches you how to code, and allows you to create and share your very own games and projects. The FUZE4 App can also be purchased on the Nintendo eShop so anyone owning one can continue their projects at home.

However, you do not need to own a Nintendo Switch to enjoy the benefits and learn to code!

Frequently Asked Questions

What time should we arrive?

Doors open at 8:55. We aim to be settled and ready to start by 9:15.

How long is the workshop?

Our Holiday Workshops run from 9am to 3:30pm. Our After-School Coding Clubs run between 3:30pm and 6:30pm on most Wednesdays and Thursdays. You can select either the full 3 hour slot or a 2 hour slot of your choosing between these times. (Attendance must be confirmed prior to the club)

Can my child bring their own Nintendo Switch?

Yes, and many do. To use it for the workshop you will need to purchase the FUZE4 Nintendo Switch software. This can be done on the day at a discounted rate. If you would rather not purchase the software we will provide a Switch for them to work on and they are welcome to use their own in the breaks. We cannot accept liability or responsibility for any devices brought into the workshops.

What is the age range of the workshops?

7 to 14. To keep our workshops relevant and engaging for all ages they are often separated loosely into beginner and advanced groups. Beginners and younger attendees are able to work through our projects at their own pace with help from our assistant tutors while those who have been numerous times are led through a more complex project together.

What payment methods are available and do you accept childcare (tax-free) vouchers?

Unfortunately we do not accept childcare vouchers. We may do so in the future, however it is not something we are looking at right now. We accept PayPal for workshop bookings.

How does the day look?

We tend to have a small break in the morning, an hour or so for lunch and another break in the afternoon. Often as we hit a natural end to a program at the end of the day we'll let the kids have one last go on the games before parents arrive.

How do we find you?

We're at Avon House which is a couple of buildings behind Thame Recipe on Wellington Street. Our front door is on the side facing away from the road. Once you're inside, head up the stairs to find The FUZE Centre!
